Historical Sketch

Little is known about the Bondurant Family, specifically James L. Bondurant and his wife Bettie. The correspondence from 1907-1935 reveals that they lived in Cairo, Illinois during these years. One of the letters is from their daughter named Maude, and another is from a sister of Mr. James L. Bondurant whose name is Annie. In the miscellaneous materials there is a prescription slip from a Dr. Flint Bondurant, but his relationship to Mr. and Mrs. James L. Bondurant has not been determined.

Augustus Trammell

Similarly, virtually nothing is known about Augustus Trammel. From his financial records, it is assumed that he was a farmer in the area of Villa Rica, Georgia. According to his last will and testament he was married, but his wife's name is unclear.
