This is a photograph from the Atlanta Tribune Photograph Collection. The Atlanta Tribune Photograph Collection contains an array of images featured in the Atlanta Tribune Magazine. A publication created to showcase black excellence in all business spheres. This includes but is not limited to entertainment, sports, politics, leisure, and education. Within this collection you will find major Atlanta companies such as Coca-Cola, AT&T, and McDonalds, black legends like Coretta Scott King, Betty Shabazz, former Atlanta Mayors Andrew Young and Bill Campbell, and a countless amount of black organizations that have contributed to the community over the years.

Biographical / Historical
The Atlanta Tribune is an Atlanta based news magazine that publishes content every month. It was founded in 1986 to be a resource for African Americans interested in business and wealth building. As well as to shine a light on and give props to black Atlanta’s most successful and affluent members.
Kermit Thomas is responsible for its inception. When Patricia and George Lottier soon after took control of the magazine, it began to flourish and eventually became the no. 1 Business Magazine in Atlanta.
