The Cynthia Ann McKinney Collection was donated to the Auburn Avenue Research Library in 2007, by Ms. Cynthia McKinney. There is no restriction on the research use of the collection. The collection is arranged into 5 series: I: Public Papers; II: Personal Papers, III: Audio-Visual Material, IV: Bond Volumes; V: Clippings.

McKinney Collection consists of her papers as a Congresswoman representing the 4th district in DeKalb County in the United States House of Representatives. The bulk of the collection, which spans the years 1993 to 2002, consists of general correspondence, personal papers, minutes, reports, publications, speeches, press releases, books, minutes, diaries, articles, photographs, Artifacts, awards, campaign memorabilia, manuscripts, notes, travel documents, and audio-cassettes and audio-visual materials. ; The collection is arranged into 5 series: I: Public Papers; II: Personal Papers, III: Audio-Visual Material, IV: Bond Volumes; V: Clippings.
