Of particular note is the Branch's involvement in the lawsuit against a Cox Communications and General Electric merger in the late 1970s, which would have created a media monopoly conglomerate. Also included are monitoring activities of Atlanta's radio and television stations employment practices with statistics of positions held by minorities.
