Scope and Contents note
This series contains photographs, maps, itineraries, and articles as well as country and sightseeing information. Washington travelled extensively for pleasure, for art education, and for professional conferences. Additional travels include temporary residence in Japan and a trip to Ghana to attend the enstoolment of an Ashanti chief. During her trips to Japan and Ghana, Washington collected materials for classroom use for herself and fellow teachers in the United States.
