This series contains newspaper clippings, programs, invitations, brochures, and photographs relating to her personal life such as family, friends, social events, and charitable interests. Also included are autograph books, newspaper articles, photographs, reunion programs and records relating to her formal education at Chadwick School, Booker T. Washington High School, Spelman College, San Jose State University, and West Valley College. This series also documents Washington's successful efforts to create a memorial fellowship at the Djerassi Resident Artists Program in honor of her son Erik A. Takulan, who died in 1998.
