Scope and Content Note From the Collection: The Archives Map collection consists of printed maps of Africa, the Caribbean Islands, the World, and the United States. The collection includes approximately four hundred and thirty-five (435) items published between 1542 and 1987 by well-known cartographers such as Sebastian Munster, Abraham Ortelius, and Willem Blaeu. Some of the maps on the surface appear to be duplicates, but upon examination, they are a variation of the same map, often with a different cartographer and date....
